FIELD-TO-FINISH
From a Single Field Shot to a Finished Map
A raw angle and distance reading doesn't become a map by itself. Here's every stage a measurement passes through on the way there.
When a total station takes a shot, all it really produces is an angle, a distance, and maybe a point code. Turning that raw measurement into a finished, plotted topographic map involves a defined pipeline of stages, and skipping or rushing any one of them is where survey projects go sideways.
